Our successful “Open Day”

On Sunday 14th February 2010, we opened our doors between 11 am and 6 pm to the public and gave hundreds of interested people the chance to view the “NEW” CLASSIC CONGRESS HOTEL.

After successful renovations and modernisation of the public areas, our regular guests, as well as potential new guests, took the chance to have a good look at all the new aspects of the hotel.

Apart from the new CHILYS Bar & Bistro, the newly designed lobby and Atrium, guests were also able to view the conference rooms, wellness & fitness areas, and the guestrooms.

Guests were able to enjoy an eventful Sunday afternoon with live music from Sven B., a wide selection of food and drinks, and complimentary cocktails that were mixed under guidance of the Bar Manager Marcia Bauer. Children also had fun painting faces, modelling balloons, snowboarding on a simulator, or watching “Ice Age” in the children’s cinema.

A large dining table was beautifully set by our trainees in the Atrium Empore (Gallery) as it would be for a festive occasion. This gave the chance for guests to see how stylishly family celebrations could be set-up for 24 guests. Furthermore, instructions were given on how to display serviettes in a variety of ways.

The winners of our main prizes were:

1st prize: an iPod Touch – Ms Gerth-Micke from Fellbach

2nd prize: a Canon IXUS digital camera - Mr Scheufele from Stuttgart

3rd prize: a €100 voucher for CHILYS - Ms Lohfink-Knief from Fellbach
